    Collapse overview
I am a clinician scientist with training as a movement disorder neurologist and deep brain stimulation specialist. My primary research focus is the development of neuromodulation therapies for freezing of gait (FoG) in patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD). I initiated a research program utilizing diffusion kurtosis tractography to characterize the locomotor pathway changes in FoG patients, and developing surrogate markers of FoG severity through gait analysis. This research has been expanded to focus on differences in the pathways in patients that are dopa un-responsive, and correlating these changes with findings on gait analysis. I am experienced in the design and implementation of clinical trials through a number of investigator initiated pilot trials of therapeutics and participation in national consortia led multicenter clinical trials, including investigation for multiple neuromodulation modalities.

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
