Dr. Temeia Martin joined the Division of Internal Medicine and Geriatrics effective July 1st, 2012 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine. She has a joint appointment in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Martin is a graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana where she obtained a bachelor of science in 2002. She went on to earn a degree of medicine from Howard University in 2007. Dr. Martin completed her residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in a combined training program of Internal Medicine and Psychiatry in 2012. She served as a chief resident in the joint residency program from 2011-2012. Dr. Martin has a focus on comorbid psychiatric and medical illnesses with a special focus on the Sickle Cell Disease population.
