Mr. Hillie serves as a substance abuse outpatient clinician to individuals, couples and families at MUSC’s Center for Drug and Alcohol Programs (CDAP). He works primarily with patients with co-occurring psychiatric conditions. Mr. Hillie utilizes a strengths base approach that incorporates techniques grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Joshua’s primary interests pertain to the field(s) of gerontology/geriatrics, mindfulness and experiential modalities, men’s work, and trauma.
