    Collapse overview
Dr. Dahne received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2016. She completed her predoctoral internship at the Medical University of South Carolina/Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center and her postdoctoral fellowship via MUSC’s NIDA T32 training program. Dr. Dahne subsequently joined the MUSC faculty in 2018 as an Assistant Professor, affiliated both with the Addiction Sciences Division of the Department of Psychiatry and with the Hollings Cancer Center, Cancer Control Program. Dr. Dahne’s research focuses on: 1) developing novel smoking cessation interventions targeting comorbid behavioral health conditions (e.g., depression), 2) delivering these novel interventions in real world settings (e.g., via primary care), and 3) utilizing technology to overcome treatment barriers. The overarching goal of Dr. Dahne’s research is to significantly reduce the public health impact of continued cigarette smoking among those with comorbid behavioral health problems. Dr. Dahne is a current National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) K23 recipient. Via her K23 award, Dr. Dahne is developing and testing a mobile application treatment for depression and cigarette smoking that will be delivered through primary care. Dr. Dahne has also received funding from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD), and the South Carolina Telehealth Alliance.

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication.
