    Dr. Mauldin is Professor/Director of the Section of Health Systems Research and Policy within the Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. He is a health economist and received his PhD in Economics from Emory University. With over 25 years of expertise with the design and analysis of evaluations involving large clinical enterprise, epidemiologic, and multi-center clinical trial databases, his methodological interests involve the multivariate modeling of patient-centered information to ensure efficient and effective delivery of high quality, clinically appropriate prevention and care strategies to optimize population health and well-being. He has served on National Institutes of Health (NIH), Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), Veterans Health Administration, and PCORI grant review Study Sections and/or Special Emphasis Panels, and has authored over 145 original peer reviewed publications.
